  • What happens during a Flux Two-Way Charger installation?
Once you're approved for installing a two-way charger and inverter, your home will undergo a site assessment so our team can work on and present your system design. After that, we will make any necessary adjustments to your design and get your final approval. Once it's approved, we'll submit your design to the city for permitting, which can take up to 6 weeks. From there, our local certified partners will begin your installation. We only partner with top-rated electrician's, so rest assured that you'll end up with the highest-quality installation. When your bi-directional charging system is complete, the city or county will perform a final inspection of your system. Once it's approved, it'll be connected to the grid, and we'll submit your documents to your local utility. After your utility company grants Permission to Operate (PTO), you'll be ready to power your home and start sending electricity back to the grid to start making income.
  • Can I really get a Two-Way Charger for $0 down?
Yes. Qualifying Flux customers can take control of their long-term electricity costs and earn money with a Flux subscription. The benefits of Two-Way charging are rolled up into a low, predictable monthly rate that replaces some of the power you used to receive from the grid.
  • How much can I expect to potentially save when leasing with a Flux Subscription?
When you sign up for a reservation, our Two-Way Charging Advisors will work with you to determine how much money you can earn based on your EV specs and utility. These factors rely on battery size, utility market dynamics, your electricity usage and whether or not you already have solar at home. We also make sure you get the most of your state's incentives and the federal tax credit that may be available. We'll only recommend a bi-directional charger if it's the right fit for your location and profile.
  • Will the battery in my EV degrade?
No, and it some cases, it can improve your battery’s longevity. Research has shown that two-way charging can improve a battery’s health by using an intelligent process to better manage the battery cells in your vehicle. This ensures that the battery cells are always at an optimal state to prevent any premature degradation.
