Utilities

Turn On 100MWs of Storage Capacity Where You Need It.
In Months, Not Years.

V2G

Vehicle-to-Grid technology provides a unique base of solutions to utilities on your distribution grid.

Flux is an Aggregator of EV's, providing grid services to utilities.

We believe that the grid-connected storage capacity of EV's will overtake stationary utility-scale storage by 2030.

Capacity

Strengthen your grid resilience and unlock new revenue streams with our advanced capacity services. We partner with utilities to analyze peak demand patterns and craft strategic capacity solutions. Our expertise helps you optimize infrastructure, reduce reliance on expensive backup generation, and participate in capacity markets. Whether you're aiming for a more robust grid, lower overall costs, or additional income opportunities, our capacity services empower you to manage your utility's future with confidence.

Frequency Regulation

One of the most critical V2G services is frequency regulation. The electrical grid operates at a specific frequency (e.g., 60 Hz in the United States). Fluctuations in this frequency can lead to instability, brownouts, or even blackouts. V2G-enabled EVs can rapidly respond to frequency deviations by injecting or absorbing power as needed, helping to maintain grid stability and prevent disruptions.

Demand Response

During periods of high electricity demand, utilities can instruct V2G-enabled vehicles to discharge power back to the grid. This helps reduce peak load, avoiding the need to activate expensive peaker plants, thus saving costs and reducing strain on the grid.

Ancillary Services

Beyond the aforementioned services, V2G can provide a range of ancillary services, such as voltage support, reactive power compensation, and black start capability. These services contribute to overall grid resilience and ensure the reliable delivery of electricity.
